"Final Call" Decal Sets

Although the decal sets on all the other pages are STILL in stock (and pages updated), quite a few sets are now down to the final few available. All the sets listed below are down to the final 10 or fewer (or completely gone). When they’re gone, I will do my best to remove the listing from this website. At the end of each scale section I list the sets that are recently completely sold out and no longer available. I have no current plans to reprint out of stock sets.

Hawker Hunters Part 2. COMPLETELY SOLD OUT–NO MORE AVAILABLE This set contains markings for SEVEN Hawker Hunters including the F.6, GA.11 & F.58 marks. First is the bright blue F.58 from the Patrouille Suisse Aerobatic Team. Next is a Swiss F.58 of Fliegerstaffel 7 in standard RAF-type camouflage. Another jet in standard camouflage is the Indian AF F.6 of No. 5 Squadron in 1965. The No. 735 Squadron, Royal Navy, GA.11 in standard RN camouflage but with bright red "Rough Diamonds" aerobatic team hi-viz markings is next and features the unit’s Pegasus squadron marking on the nose. Bright red and white markings make the F.6 from No. 4 Flying Training School at RAF Valley in 1975 a real eye-catcher. Even brighter is the red and white F.6 from the Empire Test Pilot’s School at RAF Farnborough in 1966. The final scheme features the famous "raspberry ripple" red/white/blue scheme on Hunter F.6 of the A&AEE/Empire Test Pilot’s School at RAF Boscombe Down in 1992.

F-8 Crusader Part 4. ONLY THREE TEN SETS LEFT I love it when Hasegawa steals artwork from aftermarket decals companies (NOT!). Our decal was released long before the Hasegawa boxed version, and their decals exactly overlay ours (duh!). In any case, our decals are much thinner and result in a painted-on look that Hasegawa can never hope to attain on this French Navy F-8E(FN), Flottille 12 F in the astounding "Donald Duck" retirement scheme. The second bird is a Trip Trey F-8E from VMF(AW)333, MCAS Yuma, AZ. March 1967, and sports the triple shamrock unit insignia at the top of the fin.

Black Cat "NOSE ART" PBYs. NONE LEFT – ALL GONE! EIGHT SETS LEFT This set covers two overall black Catalinas — with NOSE ART and wing access stencil markings — of famous "Black Cat" night intruder squadrons. First is a PBY-5 of VP-11, Black Cat #30 with large female nose art, kill markings & mission markings. The second subject is PBY-5A Black Cat #45, "Nite Life," of VP-81. This ship has the name, kill markings and mission markings. These two subjects are a model painter’s dream: the black finishes were extremely worn & faded; in places with the original blue camouflage showing through. The national insignia was also exceptionally faded, and we give you national insignia decals printed in a very faded light blue instead of the much darker "full-strength" Insignia Blue as seen on newly painted aircraft.

P-39s #4. ALL GONE ONLY TWO FOUR SETS LEFT. P-39D "Girlie" with great female door art, Lt J.T. Evans, 110th TRS, New Guinea; P-39Q William Stubby Gambill, 357th FG (early scheme with white tail); P-39Q Gooseneck, William Stubby Gambill, 357th FG (late scheme with red tail and "Gooseneck" nose art) — NOTE both schemes had highly misaligned tail serial numbers; P-39Q "Snooks 2nd," 2d Lt William A. Shomo (later a Medal of Honor winner with five kills in one day), 82nd TRG, New Guinea, 1944; P-39Q "Little Sir Echo/Texas" with shark mouth on the drop tank and fancy scalloped main landing gear doors, 82d TRS, New Guinea, May 1944.

F8F Bearcats #1. MULTIPLE SHEET SET. NONE LEFT! ONLY ONE TWO FOUR SET LEFT. F8F-1 Bearcat, CAG 19 special markings on the USS Boxer (CV-21), June ’47 (these markings were based on very clear photos of the bird and do not match a number of incorrect published artistic representations of the plane). The second bird is a very colorful F8F-2 drone controller from VX-2 drone controller based at the Naval Ordnance Test Station, Chincoteague, VA (pronounced "shink-teeg" . . . I had to look that up, and I’m a Virginian!) in 1955. Includes FULL stenciling!
Only 18 sets still available.

PBY Catalinas — Early War. NONE LEFT. ONLY TWO SETS LEFT. DOUBLE SHEET SET! Set includes FULL stenciling for the Catalina!

F-14B/D "Cool Toms" #2. NONE LEFT ONLY ONE TWO THREE SETS LEFT. MULTIPLE SHEET SET! This is the third most popular Yellowhammer decal we ever produced. First is the F-14D "skipper’s bird" of VF-213 "Black Lions">flown by CDR Skip King in combat in Afghanistan. This is perhaps the most remarkable Tomcat scheme ever seen, with a huge artistic gray "lion’s head" painted on the nose radome. Next is the brightly colored red-tailed F-14D "skipper’s bird" of VF-31 Tomcatters flown by CDR Paul "Butkus" Haas, as seen in May 2001. Quite a remarkable scheme! Finally — and this is a VERY special combination — is the LANTIRN configured VF-103 "Jolly Rogers" low-viz CAG bird flown in combat over Bosnia, with mission markings, flown by CAPT Rodger Welch (CAG) and CAPT Dana Potts (DCAG) in early 2001. AS A FINAL BONUS OFFER, I’ll throw in an additional decal set for you for no additional cost (it was originally only offered only as a separate item): the Yellowhammer Decals set for this same F-14B after CAPT Potts took over as CAG and added "San Antonio Rose" nose art to the bird! This separate decal sheet includes different crew names (CAPT Potts (CAG) & CAPT Guadaganini (DCAG), the nose art, and other markings changes from the scheme included with the main decal set. Final 11 sets still available.

ALL GONE! Bf 109F/G/K Spiralschnauze (white/black spinner spirals). These little suckers are extremely difficult to paint, and although some other companies’ decal sheets portraying specific aircraft include generic spirals, this sheet allows you to pick a spiral that is accurate for the bird your portraying. This sheet will save you hours of work and lots of frustration!

Skyraiders #2. SOLD OUT! The first bird is A-1H NF/504 of VA-115, which was famous for having landed on the wrong carrier and was "zapped" by having painted footprints stenciled all over it! Next is the USAF A-1H TC/257 "Midnight Cowboy" and "Sopwith Camel" (both flown by author and modeler Richard S. Drury). The final Sandy is the famous USAF A-1H TC/608, "Blood Sweat & Tears."

ALL GONE! NASA & NACA logos in various sizes (applicable to ALL scales!). MULTIPLE SHEET SET IN MULTIPLE SCALES! NOTE: although the decal sheet is marked as 1/48 scale, the markings are applicable to models of many scales. This set covers all the main NACA (National Advisory Committee for Aviation) and NASA logs through the years, including the little known red-white-blue NACA shields used on the early X-1 Nr.2, D-558-I, and D-558-II in 1949! White and black serial numbers in various sizes and styles are also included. Note this is the real decal set and not the poorly-done, copyright-violating ALPS decal of this set that was sold by that ripoff artist.
