F-8 Crusader #1. FINAL 4 REMAINING! Hands down, this is my favorite “MiG Master” scheme of all time. I remember seeing color pics of these birds launching off carriers when I was a kid-what could be more impressive than a jet with tongues of fire painted on the nose! Hotrod heaven on a gunfighter! This is an F8U-2 (F-8C) of VF-84 flying off the USS Independence in 1959.
