Description
B-29 Standard Insignia. This set contains 50″ fuselage and 60″ wing stars & bars (Freeman “Type 4″), as well as separate, optional red bars for post-1947 B-29s, which includes the Korean War period. It also includes both types of prop logos as a bonus. Note that the XB-29s, YB-29s, and very early Olive Drab/Neutral Gray production B-29s carried the 50″ fuselage and 60″ wing white/blue cocardes with no bars (50″ and 60” can be found on CED48261). Further note that B-29s built at Wichita (BW), Omaha (MO), and Renton (BN) had the fuselage star & bar rotated about 1 1/2ج«جتهّجپ to horizontal datum, while those produced at Atlanta (BA) were exactly horizontal. Note that these markings will allow you to show accurate and high-quality star markings on any of your B-29 models, regardless which decals you use, and that 1/48 PYN-up Decal B-29 sets do not include national insignia so we could include the maximum number of specific markings in each set.
