Fw 190 D-9 Dazzling Doras. Beautiful schemes for a beautiful bird! First is Red 18 + ~, W.Nr. 211115, I./EKG(J), Pilsen, May 1945. The fuselage stripe was probably yellow and the bird had a non-blown canopy. Next is Fw 190 D-9, Black Bar + Bar, W.Nr. 211929, Stab/JG 6, Reichenberg, May 1945. This was a blown-canopy ship, and featured brown overspray on the upper fuselage and tail. The third Dora is Fw 190 D-9, Brown 9 + Bar, W.Nr. 210xxx, 7./JG 26, Nordhorn-Klausheide, Feb. 1945. The black/white RV band and yellow rudder and under cowl add color to the noteworthy markings. The final ship is Fw 190 D-9, Brown 2, W.Nr. 210222, 7./JG 26, Schleswig, May 1945. Note the large “2” on the landing gear doors!
