Description
Luftwaffe Over Czech Territory #4 Bf 109Gs. More remarkable 109 schemes adorn this set. First is Bf 109G-10, JG 300, Yellow 7, based at Praha-Kbely with the fuselage overpainted in a very dark, cloudy color which could have been RLM 81 & 83. Next is Bf 109G-14 from an unknown unit, White 33. This bird had the top 2/3 of the aft fuselage overpainted in a light color that might have been RLM 02 and sprayed but sharp-edged mottles over the RLM 76 on the fuselage. Third is Bf 109G-10, KG(J) 54, with a very large and crude White 4 painted ahead of the fuselage cross. The final bird is the truly amazingly camouflaged Bf 109G-6, KG(J) 54, Black 29 Bar, at Pizen in May 1945. The fuselage camouflage began as the standard 74/75, then (probably) 83 was added along with hard-edges spots of either 02 or 76 over that. VERY eye-catching!
